Made by an Autstic for Autistics.
The thinking behind this collection:
I used soft pastel-like colours to limit visually stimulating sensory input. Essentially I wanted this collection, like my others, to be easy on the eyes and not too loud.
I avoided pure whites and blacks as much as possible. The pages of the journals are white, not cream, so pencils, pens, and markers, can stand out, but for the covers I went with a subtler approach.
I kept the community in mind. While some of the phrases I used on the journal covers are wildly relatable, I also know the importance they hold in the autistic community. Such as how often some of us say, "well, actually..." when trying to inform someone of the facts. Myself included.
